Former AeroFarms gets extension of exclusive plan periods

By Sarah Lizee

Olympia, Wash., Oct. 23 – AF Liquidation, Inc., formerly AeroFarms, Inc., received an extension of its exclusive periods to file and solicit votes on a Chapter 11 plan, according to an order filed Friday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

The exclusive plan filing period was extended through Dec. 5 and the exclusive solicitation period through Feb. 5.

As previously reported, the company filed a Chapter 11 plan with the support of its official committee of unsecured creditors. The confirmation hearing was scheduled for Oct. 24.

The company said it sought the extension out of an abundance of caution.

The indoor vertical farming company is based in Newark, N.J. The company filed bankruptcy on June 8 under Chapter 11 case number 23-10737.
