Former Associated Wholesalers gets approval of exclusivity extension

By Mark Reccek

Bethlehem, Pa., Nov. 18 – ADI Liquidation, Inc., formerly Associated Wholesalers, Inc., received court authorization to extend its exclusive periods for filing a Chapter 11 plan of reorganization and soliciting votes on the plan by 65 days, according to an order filed Wednesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

The company’s exclusive filing period was extended through Dec. 30 from Oct. 26 and its solicitation period through Feb. 24 from Dec. 21.

As previously reported, the company said the size and complexity of the cases, along with progress made to date, justified granting the exclusivity extension request.

Associated Wholesalers is a cooperative food distributor and equipment retailer based in Robesonia, Pa., that filed for bankruptcy on Sept. 9, 2014. The Chapter 11 case number is 14-12092.
