AIG plans benchmark five-year notes for Tuesday pricing

New York, Feb. 23 – American International Group Inc. plans to price a benchmark offering of senior notes due 2021 on Tuesday, according to a market source and a 424B2 filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Bookrunners are BofA Merrill Lynch, Citigroup Global Markets Inc., Goldman Sachs & Co. and U.S. Bancorp Investments Inc.

Proceeds will be used to fund a tender offer.

The insurance company is based in New York City.
