Taiwan's Acer may sell $550 million 0% convertibles in two series

Chicago, June 1 - Acer Inc. said its board of directors approved two issuances of zero-coupon unsecured overseas convertible corporate bonds on Monday.

In the first issue, the company will sell up to $300 million five-year notes. And, in the second issue, the company will sell up to $250 million seven-year notes.

The company will sell the bonds at par of $100,000.

Acer is a branded personal computer vendor based in Taipei, Taiwan.
