Fitch affirms AT&T

Fitch Ratings said it affirmed the A long- and F1 short-term issuer default ratings for AT&T Inc.

The outlook is stable.

Fitch said it expects AT&T to have the financial flexibility to maintain appropriate leverage, which was 1.6 times for the first quarter, slightly higher than its target level of 1.3 times to 1.5 times.

Ratings reflect the company's diversified revenue mix, significant size and economies of scale, as well as Fitch's expectation that AT&T will benefit from continued growth in wireless operating cash flow, the agency said.
