S&P rates AT&T notes A-

Standard & Poor's said it assigned an A- issue-level rating to AT&T Inc.'s proposed €1 billion senior notes due 2020.

The A- long-term corporate credit rating on AT&T remains unchanged, as does the A-2 short-term rating and the stable outlook, the agency said.

S&P said it does not expect the transaction to materially affect key credit measures.

The ratings continue to reflect the company's overall strong business risk profile, bolstered by its wireless business and an intermediate financial risk profile, the agency said.
