Bear Stearns transfers $2 million in Armstrong World Industries claims

Washington, Aug. 18 - Bear Stearns & Co. transferred $2 million in Armstrong World Industries Inc. claims, according to paperwork filed with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware Tuesday.

The New York-based investment firm transferred $1 million of a claim to Merced Partners and another $1 million of the claim to Tamarack International Ltd.

Armstrong, a Lancaster, Pa.-based flooring manufacturer, filed for bankruptcy on Dec. 6, 2000. Its Chapter 11 case number is 00-04471.
