Arkansas Best calls Worldway 6¼% convertibles

New York, Jan. 24 - Arkansas Best Corp. said it called for redemption the $4.995 million outstanding Worldway Corp. 6¼% convertible subordinated debentures due 2011.

The Fort Smith, Ark. company said the redemption date will be Feb. 25 and holders will receive par plus accrued interest.
