Brazil's Aracruz plans to issue 10-year notes

New York., March 1 - Aracruz Celulose SA, via its subsidiary Aracruz International Finance Co. (Aifco), plans to issue 10-year notes in the international capital markets, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission 6-K filing.

The notes will be unsecured and unsubordinated obligations of Aifco and will be guaranteed by Aracruz.

Proceeds from the sale will be used for general corporate purposes.

Additionally Aracruz said in a separate SEC filing that it plans to launch a tender offer for up to $536.7 million for its bonds due 2011 and 2012.

Aracruz Celulose is a Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, manufacturer of pulp.
