AbitibiBowater seeks OK for $4.6 million Covington, Tenn., property sale

Charlotte, N.C., Sept. 10 - AbitibiBowater Inc. wants the court to approve Bowater Nuway Mid-States, Inc. and Bowater Nuway Inc.'s sale of a former paper coating facility in Covington, Tenn., to True Partners Financial Services, LLC for a total of $4.6 million, according to a Friday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

The property includes 16.3 acres of land, the closed manufacturing building and equipment.

A hearing is scheduled for Sept. 30.

AbitibiBowater, a Montreal-based producer of newsprint, commercial printing papers, market pulp and wood products, filed for bankruptcy on April 16, 2009. Its Chapter 11 case number is 09-11296.
