Anchor Glass seeks court OK to hire interim crisis manager, chief restructuring officer

Pittsburgh, Sept. 14 - Anchor Glass Container Corp. requested AP Services, LLC be hired as crisis manager in the company's Chapter 11 case and John S. Dubel be named chief restructuring officer, both on an interim basis, according to a Wednesday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Florida.

Dubel will assist the company in evaluating and implementing strategic and tactical options throughout the restructuring process.

The duties of AP's additional staff members will include:

* Review employee-related and other costs;

* Work with the company and its management team to identify and implement short-term and long-term liquidity generating initiatives;

* Assist management with the development of the company's business plan;

* Assist with developing the plan of reorganization;

* Assist in developing and implementing cash management strategies, tactics and processes; and

* Assist in communication and/or negotiation with stakeholders.

Anchor Glass, a Tampa, Fla., manufacturer of glass containers, filed for bankruptcy on Aug. 8. Its Chapter 11 case number is 05-15606.
