Ampex records $5.13 million 2007 operating income

Pittsburgh, April 15 - Ampex Corp. reported a $5.13 million operating income for 2007 on $41.48 million in revenues, according to its 10-K filed Tuesday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The 2007 results showed improvement over the $3.66 million operating loss reported for 2006 on $35.92 million in revenues.
The 2007 net income was $904,000, better than the $3.95 million net loss posted in 2006.
Cash and cash equivalents at Dec. 31 were $8.59 million, compared with $11.72 million at Dec. 31, 2006.
Ampex made a pre-packaged bankruptcy filing on March 30 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York. Its Chapter 11 case number is 08-11094.
