American Electric to redeem all $242.78 million of 5.25% notes

Kansas City, Kan., Dec. 14 - American Electric Power Co., Inc. set the redemption price for its $242,775,000 of 5.25% senior notes due June 1, 2015 at 111.241, according to a notice.

The bonds will be redeemed on Dec. 14.

As previously reported, the company said it would fund the redemption with proceeds from its $850 million issue of senior notes.

The Bank of New York Mellon Trust Co., NA is the trustee.

American Electric Power is a Columbus, Ohio-based electricity provider.
