American Bankruptcy Institute names U.S. Trustee Felicia Turner deputy executive director

By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, July 11 - The American Bankruptcy Institute said U.S. Trustee Felicia S. Turner will join its staff in September as deputy executive director.

According to an ABI news release, Turner has been an active member of ABI as a conference speaker and has participated on the advisory board of ABI's Caribbean Insolvency Program.

"Her vast substantive knowledge and keen management skills will be a great help in taking ABI to the next level of service to the insolvency community," ABI executive director Sam Gerdano said in the release.

Before being appointed as U.S. Trustee, Turner was a partner in Troutman Sanders LLP, where she was a member of its bankruptcy practice group and the litigation section.

Turner received her Bachelor of Arts from Depauw University in 1991 and earned her Juris Doctorate at Duke University in 1994.

ABI is an Alexandria, Va.-based multi-disciplinary, nonpartisan organization dedicated to research and education on matters related to insolvency.
