S&P: American Airlines, U.S. Airways to positive

Standard & Poor's said it revised the outlooks on American Airlines Group Inc. (AAG) and subsidiaries American Airlines Inc. and US Airways Inc. to positive from stable.

At the same time, the agency affirmed its ratings on the companies, including the B corporate credit ratings.

"We expect continued growth in AAG's earnings and cash flow, which should result in improved credit measures despite heavy capital spending and a share repurchase program," S&P credit analyst Philip Baggaley said in a news release.
