Fitch drops Amcore to CCC

Fitch Ratings said it downgraded Amcore Financial, Inc.'s long-term issuer default rating to CCC from BB- and individual rating to E from D.

The downgrade reflects weak asset quality, pressured capital and parent company liquidity positions, and an increased reliance on wholesale funding, the agency said.
