Altra Nebraska seeks case dismissal after sale proceeds distribution

By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, Oct. 14 - Altra Nebraska, LLC asked the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Nebraska to dismiss and close its Chapter 11 bankruptcy case, according to a Wednesday court filing.

Following the distribution of the proceeds from the sale of its assets and the court-approved payment of legal fees, Altra said all of its assets will have been administered.

The company said it is not aware of any other valuable assets.

Altra Nebraska is a wholly owned subsidiary of Altra Inc., a California-based developer of renewable fuel projects. The subsidiary filed for bankruptcy on Aug. 13, 2009. Its Chapter 11 case number is 09-42348.
