S&P rates Allianz notes A

S&P said it assigned an A rating to Allianz SE’s planned restricted tier 1 notes to be issued in U.S. dollar- and euro-denominated tranches.

The rating is three notches under Allianz’s AA issuer credit rating. The agency said it deducted a notch for subordination, a notch for the risk of a potential write-down and the mandatory and unconditional optional interest cancellation features.

The outlook is stable.
