Moody's rates Allegheny Generating notes Baa3

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned a Baa3 rating to Allegheny Generating Co.'s planned issuance of $100 million of senior unsecured notes due 2020.

The outlook is stable.

The rating reflects the company's sole reliance on affiliates, Allegheny Energy Supply, LLC and Monongahela Power Co., for its revenues, earnings, cash flow and corporate governance matters, Moody's said.
