Moody's: Alcoa unaffected

Moody's Investors Service said the European Commission's ruling against Alcoa Inc. with respect to electricity tariffs in Italy has no impact on the company's Baa3 rating or stable outlook.

The agency's last rating action on Alcoa was in March 2009 when a Baa3 rating was assigned to the company's $575 million convertible notes due 2014.
