S&P alters Alberta view to negative

S&P said it revised the outlook for the province of Alberta to negative from stable and affirmed the issuer and senior unsecured debt ratings at A+.

“The negative outlook reflects the heightened risk that the pandemic disruption and oil price shock could last longer than expected, which could weigh heavily on the province's important tax and oil royalty revenues,” S&P said in a press release.
