Agricultural Bank of China sets up $5 billion medium-term note program

Madison, Wis., July 5 - Agricultural Bank of China Ltd. has established a $5 billion medium-term note program, according to a notice.

Agricultural Bank of China Ltd., Hong Kong Branch, ABCI Capital Ltd. and Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong) Ltd. are the arrangers.

The bank may issue notes under the program within 12 months of July 4.

Listing of the program on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Ltd. was slated for July 5.

Based in Beijing, the commercial bank has branches in mainland China, Hong Kong and Singapore.
